Chasing the emptiness
Info
Chasing the Emptiness explores my fascination with quiet, overlooked spaces. Through black-and-white photography, I'm drawn to margins and boundaries—shorelines, empty parking lots, forgotten roads—where absence often speaks louder than presence.
Working primarily with film has influenced this approach, as the inherent grain and contrast create a sense of distance. The technical "imperfections"—light leaks, shadows, grain—have become meaningful parts of the visual language rather than flaws to be corrected.
This collection reflects my attempt to document moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed—spaces between destinations where time seems to expand and contract, inviting contemplation rather than conclusion.
