Caesar(Huangxu) Yi (b. 2001, Hubei, China, raised in Jingmen) is an emerging multimedia artist exploring the intersection of photography and art technology. Their work examines themes of time, existence, life cycles, and the act of slowing down in today's fast-paced society. In their practice, they seek to expand the boundaries of traditional photography, incorporating techniques such as lighting design, film photography (including large-format cameras), and slow-photo practices, while exploring innovative ways to present their ideas.

In their work, they combine artistic and technological elements, including electronic circuit design, programming, and interactive installations. By using technology as both medium and expression, they hope to create pieces that invite viewers to reflect more deeply on contemporary life.

Their art is informed by personal experiences and an interest in the dialogue between the ephemeral and the eternal, bringing authenticity and emotional depth to their projects. Through photography, sculpture, and technology-driven installations, they attempt to bridge traditional and modern narratives, creating distinctive artistic experiences.

Caesar Yi currently lives and works in Chicago, continuing to develop their artistic practice.
